Creepy Places

I know Halloween is over but for me it's an all year addition. I really love watching movies. You take a look at my Pinterest and the movies I have pinned there is not even a drop in the bucket of all the movies I have watched.

I am officially caught up with American Horror Show Hotel waiting for Ep. 5. This time, I decided to investigate like my husband does all the time, various parts of the movie starting off with the Hotel Cortez. Yes, it's haunted.

And then like all well-written blogs I started going from link to link learning about the serial killers the actors were portraying which was very interesting. I love those actors, they can be anyone they want.

Jessica Lang is gone and left some well acted Seasons behind, but I'm loving Lady GaGa's character as a vampire. Who knew she could act as well as sing and dance. I will be waiting impatiently for the next episode.

What's your favorite television shows?

As Promised, Marriages and Cemeterys

As promised I am going to tell you the story of a marriage in a cemetery. That would be MY marriage. I have always loved magic and the mystical, the supernatural and paranormal. All things that go "bump" in the night.

I also LOVE cemeteries. There is a cemetery in Sandford, Maine that I used to go to just to hang out. I would go through the pillars at the front entrance, over the bridge that was over a big pond with a stream going through the cemetery.

I would go to the back to collect plastic flowers and ribbons that were cleared out and ready to go to the dump. Take the stuff home, clean it up, and make vases. Of course, you get mixed reactions about said activities but I stuck to a cemetery is a resting place full of love. What's the problem?

In fact when I went to Boston, Mass. I went to the cemetery that has Paul Bunyon buried in it amongst settlers killed in Indian raids. The smallest of graves always make me a little sad.

Throw in my love for all things Halloween I decided I wanted to get married in a cemetery. Being the lucky woman that I am the man I fell in love with was all for it.

Since my kids live in Florida I gave up on the idea of having my son give me away and my daughter being my maid of honor. That made me sad for a long time until I folded sadness all up in a neat bundle and put it away deep in my mind.

My husband's family is from Vermont. They have had to deal with great tragedy with his sister passing away at the age of 10 years old and his father dying of cancer in his 40's. At the Passumsic Cemetary, they are buried next to each other.

I liked the idea of them being there in spirit and the cemetery itself is beautiful. It was a small wedding with his mother and step-father, half-sister and husband. After we had a bar-b-cue for our reception and we are "still" on our honeymoon.

Hello Halloween, Good bye Fall

It's coming dare I say it, winter. But know this, I actually like snow and no matter how many times I see it snow, especially the first of the season snowfall, I can watch it for a long time.

Halloween is tomorrow, I replenished the Halloween candy, we love chocolate, and hopefully get a few trick or treaters. My husband and I have already sampled the Twix candy bars and they're good to go.

Here in Vermont as far as I have lived here the fall's foliage hasn't been the greatest as far as the different fall leaf colors, but I still took a few pictures to say good-bye.

I went out today. It was a little windy with a little howling action and a huge dark storm cloud was positioned right over our town and stayed there. So far no rain. That was the last 2 days.

Tomorrow I will have a story to tell about marriage and a cemetery so stay tuned. Hope you are ready for those cute little trick or treaters yelling in chorus Trick or Treatttttt.

I went over to Family Dollar and the sales were awesome. 90% off awesome. This man in line told me that he bought 6 boxes of those Pop tubes that you freeze and is giving those out. I forgot to ask if he was going to freeze them first or not. 10 cents a box, what a steal, what a deal.

Treat or Trick...I'm so confused

Halloween. My favorite time of year. I don't just celebrate it on the actual day but all month long. As far back as my son when he was a little boy around 2 or 3 we lived in a small town in Maine. I like to recycle and finding the oldest white sheet I ripped it into long strips and wrapped Tysen up in it. Then we went out with him shouting Trick or Treat at the top of his lungs. There is something so magical about seeing what you are so used to seeing day by day seeing it all again  through the eyes of a child.

I took out both my kids from teeny tiny to around 12 or so every year coming up with a homemade costume because that's what Halloween to me at least all about. Not too mention lots of candies. Extra scary decorations were a bonus. Now I have a baby Grandson that I can watch grow up even if it's on Skype. I'm sorry, but the thought still makes me sad, but  I take comfort that I'm not in this alone.

The reason for my thoughts on Halloween today is I read an article about Anna Rexia and I'm not too sure what to think about the controversary behind it. I mean I truly care about this bothering someone who has a real problem with eating disorders but then I think about costumes where you stuff your clothes making yourself look fat. Or an accident victim. Or stuffed boobs (sorry guys...or not ~wink~) I suppose there is a cut-off line for what to wear as a costume to not offend or just bad timing?

Share this and let me know what you think so I can get this out of my head because I just had a thought seeing in my inner mind a heavier person wearing an "Anna Rexia" costume. (Inner child be quiet would ya).
