In the kind of world where we belong means a lot of things to me. A place where you are comfortable. A peaceful place.
I just got off of Facebook. I like to mix it up what I look at first or  I will get bored  eventually wandering away to look for something else to do.

As I scrolled down my homepage, then my timeline commenting here and there I think to myself wouldn't it be nice if there could be this huge reunion of all the people you befriended and loved down over time.

Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful for the technology that allows us to see whoever you are talking to. It's joyful but can be deeply depressing as well. So you put on a brave face, smile, crack a joke or two, burying it.

Thinking back to everyone that I had ever known, trusted, befriended, I'm realizing this group of family and friends are going to take up some space! 

The variety of people would be awesome. Friends and family from California, Maine, now Vermont. We would have Captains and fisherman, Carnies and Bikers, Bingo lovers and Bloggers. Every co-worker I had ever befriended.

So knowing that is just a lovely dream I will write every Tuesday to get my story out there. I hope that at least one or two people will read and enjoy.

Happy Chinese New Year!

As Beijing celebrates, the Chinese New Year party in London will be the biggest outside of Asia. Here's your guide to the celebrations.

This year, Chinese New Year - The Year of the Monkey - begins on February 8th and lasts until Jan 27th, 2017.

Celebrations have started around the world, as London waits to join the festivities on Monday.

People have gathered at one of Hong Kong's best-known temples - the Wong Tai Sin - to make their new year wishes.

I would love to join in the festivities of the Chinese New Year party, it looks so colorful. I went to see what my Chinese Sign was and it's the dog.

Groundhog Day

Groundhog Day (Canadian French: Jour de la Marmotte; Pennsylvania German: Grundsaudaag, Murmeltiertag) is a traditional holiday celebrated on February 2. According to folklore, if it is cloudy when a groundhog emerges from its burrow on this day, then spring will come early; if it is sunny, the groundhog will supposedly see its shadow and retreat back into its burrow, and the winter weather will persist for six more weeks.
Modern customs of the holiday involve celebrations where early morning festivals are held to watch the groundhog emerging from its burrow.
In southeastern Pennsylvania, Groundhog Lodges (Grundsow Lodges) celebrate the holiday with FERS mm linge, social events in which food is served, speeches are made, and one or more spiel (plays or skits) are performed for entertainment. The Pennsylvania German dialect is the only language spoken at the event, and those who speak English pay a penalty, usually in the form of a nickel, dime, or quarter per word spoken, with the money put into a bowl in the center of the table.
Groundhog Day was adopted in the U.S. in 1887. Clymer H. Freas was the editor of the local paper Punxsutawney Spirit at the time, and he began promoting the town’s groundhog as the official “Groundhog Day meteorologist.”
The largest Groundhog Day celebration is held in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, with Punxsutawney Phil. Groundhog Day, already a widely recognized and popular tradition, received widespread attention as a result of the 1993 film Groundhog Day.

 Tomorrow morning Mr. Groundhog will do his thing. I would love to be able to see this happen but I'm curious about everything in the world. I have enough curiosity for more than one person.

Winter has been very warm for an Eastern State so I can't wait for tomorrow.

To My Soon To Arrive Grandson #FixThePlus *

I am happy as a new Grandma can be. 

Both Grandpa and I are looking forward to a 

brand new, first time ever, Grandson.

I was never the one to keep harping on 

either one of my kids, a son who is 29 and a 

a daughter that is 25 years old.

So when my son put me on the calling list to let me know I was delighted. I think I'll be a

great Grandma and will have to do some Long Distance Grandma research so I can handle this. 

I can't wait until you are here little one and I already got a heads up I will be coming to visit 

you when you are finally here.
