National Freedom Day

National Freedom Day is an observance in the United States that honors the signing of a resolution that proposed the 13th amendment to the nation's constitution on February 1, 1865. Abraham Lincoln, who was the president at the time, signed the resolution to outlaw slavery. This anniversary is annually observed on February 1.

This is one of my favorite presidents and I would love to visit and see his statue. I defiantly have a super long bucket list.

The work and craftsmanship that went into making a pretty cool statue are amazing.
What will you do for today? It's warm enough here in Vermont to bar-be-cue. I love stories so do tell.
